Jevon Williams is a dynamic 17-year-old scholar at Boston Latin Academy and an emerging leader in Boston’s youth advocacy scene. With a deep commitment to LGBTQ+ rights and inclusivity, Jevon has dedicated the past four years to leading his school’s Gender & Sexuality Alliance (GSA), where his efforts in event planning, outreach, and advocacy have amplified the voices of marginalized students. Now in his second year as a Youth Fellow with the Mayor’s Office of LGBTQ+ Advancement, Jevon is spearheading the AmplifyGSA Initiative, aimed at establishing GSAs in all Boston high schools. His work extends to the GSA Student Leadership Council, in partnership with the Safe Schools Program for LGBTQ+ Students and DESE, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping workshops and initiatives that uplift LGBTQ+ students. Having spent his summer at the GSA Leadership Summit, Jevon is passionate about bringing a youth-centered, queer perspective to his advocacy and looks forward to furthering his impact as a future Black leader in Boston.
